Personal information collected by this site and why we collect it

Track site visits

Like most sites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people who use our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages, and to see their journey through the site.

Although GA records data such as your geographical location, device, web browser, and operating system, none of this information identifies you personally. GAs also records your computer’s IP address, which could be used for your personal identification, but Google does not give us access to it. We consider Google to be a third-party data processor (see Section 6.0 below).

GA uses cookies, details of which can be found in Google’s developer guides. Our site uses GA’s analytics.js application.

Disabling cookies in the internet browser will prevent GA from tracking any part of your visit to pages of this website.

Contact Forms

If you choose to contact us using the contact form on the Contact Us page or at an email link like this, none of the data you provide will be stored on this site or transferred / processed by any processor third party data as defined in section 6.0. Instead, the data will be classified in an e-mail and sent to us via the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL), which means that e-mail content is encrypted using 256-bit SHA-2 encryption before it is sent over the Internet. Email content is decrypted by local computers and devices.

Email newsletter

If you choose to subscribe to our email newsletter, the email address you submit to us will be forwarded to MailChimp, which provides us with email marketing services. We consider MailChimp to be a third-party data processor (see Section 6.0 below). The email address you submit will not be stored in the website database or on any of our internal computer systems.

Your email address will remain in the MailChimp Database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s email marketing services or until you explicitly request removal from the list. You can do this by withdrawing your use of the unsubscribe links contained in any of the email newsletters we send you or requesting your removal via email. When you request removal via email, send us your email using the email account listed in the mailing list.

If you are under 16, you MUST obtain parental consent before logging in to our email newsletter.

While your email address remains in the MailChimp database, you will receive periodic (approximately three times a year) email updates from us.

How we store/save your personal information

For your browsing of the website www.daily-taste.gr no entry of your personal data is required, except in case you wish to contact us through the contact form as mentioned in the section “Contact Forms” through which we share your contact details.

This website is hosted by Dazzlink in the Greek Datacenter Athens 2 of LAMDA HELLIX with technologies that are found in world class datacenters.

We will report any illegal data breach of this website or any third-party data processing database to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that the personal data stored in an identifiable form has been stolen.
